Collaborative Divorce

Imagine your partner and you sitting down together in a neutral, safe space, discussing your concerns and desires related to post-separation life, and really hearing each other, possibly for the first time in ages.

Collaborative Divorce gives couples that opportunity to open up about their respective interests and underlying concerns, as opposed to focusing on positions and adversarial posturing. The Collaborative process opens up many options not typically identified in traditional divorce litigation. The Collaborative process empowers clients, who are supported by their attorneys and, in some instances other neutral professionals, to be the decision-makers in their divorce. This is very different from traditional divorce litigation, where important decision-making is too often left to a judge who will never know your family the way that you know your family.

Estate Planning

There are many things in life that we can’t plan for, however planning for end of life does not need to be one of them. Establishment of a Will, Trust, Power of Attorney or Advanced Directive takes the guess work and default settings out of the end of life process and gives you the power to dictate your own legacy when the time comes that you can no longer speak for yourself. RCG works with you and your family to create a plan that you not only understand, but are proud of.

Examples of our Estate Planning Services Include:

• Wills

• Trusts

• Power of Attorney

• Advanced Directive

• Guardianship

• Probate & Estate Administration

Relationship Agreements

It’s important to do your homework and set expectations before entering into any important life decision, including moving in with your partner or marriage. RCG educates its clients regarding the legal rights between married and/or cohabitating parties, and can help you prepare the necessary legal documents to help those expectations be carried out into the future.

Examples of this Process Include:

• Prenuptial (aka Antenuptial) Agreements

• Postnuptial Agreements

• Cohabitation Agreements

Adoption

Adoption of a stepchild, family member or open adoption can be an exciting and rewarding experience in life. The process of adoption also takes time and involves several legal considerations and administrative steps. Our team has experience managing the adoption process so that you can trust that the process is completed in a timely and correct manner.

Examples of our Adoption Services Include:
• General Adoption Process Consultation

• Stepparent Adoption

• Relative Adoption

• Open Adoption
